Hello! I’m Kerrie Lee.
Artist. Maker. Educator.
I'm a mixed media sculptor specializing in whimsical figurines, dolls, puppets, and props.
Through the use of videos, livestreams, online courses, and here on my blog, I demonstrate my creation process and share the materials and special techniques I've developed in over 30 years of making art.

Mission: To transform imagination into shareable experiences; to wonder, inspire, and entertain; to nurture curiosity and explore various mediums.
Dreamer. Dabbler. Noodler.
Jill of all trades is a good way to describe me. I’m a dabbler. I like to try new things. The Greek term for this is polymath, but I prefer the sound of dabbler.
During my senior year in high school, I opted to drop my calculus class to take a sewing class. It was one of the smartest decisions I ever made, though I didn’t realize its significance until many years later.
I am a movie maker’s dream. I laugh at all the jokes and bawl like a baby right on cue. I have a very vivid imagination. I get drawn into movies (which is why I avoid the scary ones!) I am a lucid dreamer.
Since relocating from rural Michigan to the suburbs of Des Moines in 2011, I’ve become a bit of a foodie. I blame my husband’s fantastic cooking skills, and all the wonderful restaurants here.
I like root beer floats, warm socks, Sunday afternoon naps, and puns.
